SINGLE BARREL SOCIETY
MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES
NO RULES...ONLY GUIDELINES
WELL, ACTUALLY...
"ONE HARD RULE"
Partake with care and consideration, be a contemplative sipper.
Each person is responsible for his/her own behavior and is expected to abide by this rule. Gatherings are about tasting, learning & fellowship. Each member agrees to absolve the host of each tasting from legal responsibility for any unfortunate events resulting from a member’s own failure to abide by the Society’s
"One Hard Rule".

GATHERING DECORUM
We gather for fellowship and robust conversation about the fine whiskeys to be tasted. Kindly "coat-check" your politics as you enter the establishment, they may be retrieved upon your exit. Conversing on topics other than whiskey is acceptable, but make a go at it keeping the chit-chat respectful to all those in attendance.

GATHERING RATE
The Society kindly suggests that each Gathering Participant tender $20 to assist with the tasting. Any excess funds will go towards future meetings and the establishment of the Society's whiskey reserve. Rate may be adjusted up or down dependent upon attendance & whiskey price. But for now, let's just go with a twenty.
THE SOCIETY'S STRUCTURE
For the time being, keeping it simple...no directors, officers, by-laws, etc. The Society is going to gather once a month to share in the experiences of tasting whiskeys from around the world. The Society will grow & age in the same manner as the whiskeys...with careful diligence & in due course.

SOCIETY'S DRESS CODE
Make an honest effort to dress with respect to the fine whiskey that will be tasted. What in the hell does that mean...no tux required, but leave the cargo shorts and Hawaiian shirts in the closet. Casual is fine, however no flip-flops nor shorts
